Progress Update

As the queen of typos and a connoisseur of social media anxiety, I have avoided posting things publicly about One to Three: Sovereignty in lieu of working on programming and writing this game and other projects, masking  evasion with productivity.  This is a long way of saying that I've decided that an update was in order for people who cared. You know, besides me.

A few weeks ago I finished putting the whole script into Ren'py and quickly played through the first full version of the game.  There were small mistakes, but it didn't explode in my face, which was highly satisfying for me. However, after the celebration, I realized I was far from done.  I have a list of tweaks and additions I'd been putting off, and I needed the help of editors to help with my aforementioned royal-sized shortcoming. Not to mention, play-testing and the new problems that may bring to light.

So while it's promising that I could 'technically' release a full game at this point, that isn't what I want. I want to release a polish project, which I know is far from perfect, but that I can be proud of. It's for this reason that I have gotten rid of release dates that I had only set in my mind, decided to take my time, and concluded that it will probably be done this year, 2021.

I'm not the first game dev on this site with competing responsibilities that make a game take longer to finish than planned and I won't be the last. I just hope, that if you do care, this is some nice news that the game is moving forward at its own pace.

A sneak peak for one ending CG

Thank you for the update! It is very important to hear from the developers. Even if it's a bad news. I've seen several projects, that I liked, being shut down after long period of silence. Sometimes even years-long period without any news. And it's unbearably sad.  I'm relived to know that you've done major work on your novel and desire to put more efforts into making the game you'd be proud of. Do it at your own pace and take care of yourself. And if you drop a line about how your game progresses from time to time, we'll be happy. :)

Take the time you need, it's very hard to create a game, I am excited to see it finished!
